Hill, Beverly, Mass., lever fusee pocket watch, 16- 17 Liverpool style jewels, key wind and set, gilt plate movement with Massey 3 lever escapement, hack lever, diamond endstone and cut bimetallic balance, the movement with engraved, gilt dust cap, in a 14 karat, yellow gold, engine turned, engraved and with scallop band, consular open face case, and signed Roman numeral, white enamel dial, gilt hands, serial #24958, 50mm, 98.4g TW, c1855.
CONDITION:
CASE: Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on inner surface of case; Engine turning / engraving with moderate wear; 3 hinge plugs absent; Minor scratches on crystal; Bow worn, gold filled; Precious metal content tested. DIAL: Small flakes in enamel concealed by bezel, 5:30, 6:30; Specks of dirt / dust. HANDS: Replaced hour. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate, cluster of dings near "F" on regulator; A few minor specks of oxide on bright work; Dust cap with minor scratches; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks), would benefit from cleaning; Hack function not working.
